a recollection.

let go of everything you are
let go of everything you’re used to
let go of comfort
let go of home
forget the pain
forget the worries
and just BE who you are
without all that other crap

you are original
you are authentic
you are timeless
and more full of expression and love than i could ever hope to be
you are classic
the definition of what should never be forgotten,
ever.

i guard this castle with all that i have.
with all that i am.
with my whole heart.
to let these walls shatter would be the death of me.
so let me keep my fairy tale ending.

please.
the slipper doesn’t quite fit.
i’m a queen without a crown.
i’m a maiden in a tower without a knight in shining armour.
i am the keeper of this glass castle.

dear,
name me aurora for i’m falling asleep.
name me rapunzel for i feel you’re just out of reach.
name me rose red for i’m the princess no one knows.

spring,
the air is like velvet:
smooth, sweet, and luxurious;
it seems to curl around my face
like a purring cat rubbing one’s
leg for affection.
the sun’s warmth seems to peel residual cold
that was trapped beneath my skin, and
it replaces it with
a thankful sigh of wordless
relief.

Monsoon

Fear the monsoons
Pouring from shocked eyes
Winds ushering change
Rains dissipating heat
Of emotion passed.
Puddles, mud, broken boughs
Leaves, scattered thoughts
Fading thunder
Questions unasked
By the innocent.

Lovers

The water slowly dripped
Falling like glistering dew drops
Creating little puddles
Where they splashed

Softly his naked arms
Embraced her wet body
His hands gently
Moving up and down
Her still damp back

Slowly their breath got deeper
As the sun began to fade
Stars filling the night
With their brightness

Suddenly the night turned to day
But for a moment
Magically a star broke away
Brightening the earth in all its glory!

Are You Just A Dream!

© 2007 gavy007

Last night
I put my head upon the pillow
Slowly I closed my eyes
And there you were

The night was full
Of happy times
Being together
Just you and I

Sking down the mountain side
Side by side we fell
Into the snow at the end
We laughed andcarried on
In total happiness

The sun rose
As my eyes flickered open
In bed beside me
I saw you
In my imagination
The girl of my dreams!

Where is Oskar? his final curtain call
a snow-covered January Fourth but never
was there one colder.

[I don’t think so anyway; it’s hard to remember].

Ou sont les poets d’antan? Damned
if I know but one
hundred and sixty-nine
isn’t such a bad number
to go out on.

Some records are made to be
broken; some to be played backwards and
some to be noted by
someone like me.

Been Awhile

Been Awhile

It’s been awhile
It’s been a long time
Since my body
Has had the pleasure

I’ve been to India
I’ve been to rome
I’ve been to England
Even been to France

The sights I’ve seen
The places I’ve been
Have been delightful
Have been a dream

But it’s been awhile
It’s been a long time
Since I’ve had the pleasure
Of home made ice-cream!

Baby Don’t Cry

© 2007 gavy007

Baby Don’t Cry

She had it ready, the mix
Waiting for her next fix
She’d forgotten the reason why
She chose to die

The strap tightened on her arm
She was not coursing any one else harm
Once more she found the vein
There was no more any pain

As the drug took it’s hold
The world and dreams started to mould
She just didn’t care
Soon she’d be without any fear

A baby lay on a mat
Off in a room from where she sat
Slowly but surely dying
Soon the baby will start crying!

forward flowing me

© 2007 Nick Soden

my life’s been
funneling
and tunneling
towards
things
,kings
and flings
but who cares about it when your gone
you were born at dawn
mr, honest john
and dusk is nearing
it’s in the clearing
that why the slipping moments
you should be fearing
or cherishing
or clinging
enjoying the present rolling
between past and future
like singing: its a river
a shiver of life
an eraser of strife
and a protector from the knife,
the moon is my wife
and sun is my brother
and that plane overhead is the other,
but who says we gotta know
everything at once
for sure the
trumpeter and the journalist
and politicians all around
through the town speak riddles
and use words like fiddles
to craft truth for purposes unknown,
it is never shone
whether it is a clone
of the past
like some giant mast, supporting a sail that never fails
like never ending growing nails
the wind always blows,
but just not always in your backyard
, and that don’t mean you should just lie there and rust,
for this i must
tell you
,i wish you to fly,
and dream up a vision like no other,
like a screaming kite falling through an abyss, until
it catches hold of flight
and how it is really light
among the clouds
and sings along
among the birds
and knows already the songs and their words
much like the repeating seasons
and their growing flowers and repeated deaths
you may choose the infinity between what’s right and what’s left…
