Snow
Snow used to fill the sky
Ashes falling from heaven
Blanketing our souls
Filling our hearts
Overwhelming our senses
We called it ours
But we belonged to it
Sometimes we’d let it sink into our skin
But mostly we’d just watch
Smiling and laughing
As it danced around us
It’s gone now
That snow
That magic
It disappeared
Just like our smiles
And our laughter
But we’re still here
The ashes of what we used to be
The forgotten ones
Who never forgot what it was like
And sometimes
You can find us
Looking up at the clouds
Our eyes closed
Remembering
Crying
We want our smiles back
We want our laughter back
We want the snow
But it’s gone
And it’s not coming back
When
When your world is falling
falling apart
When your dreams are nothing
nonexistent in every way.
When your spirit’s broken
fading from gray
Is when you feel it
the emptiness inside your heart.
You put me up
To cover this place
My color you chose
To show good taste
I hang around
For the smile on your face
But then i’m abandoned
To decay like waste
I fall to the floor
You loved me no more
Anger’s swell
The blood is boiling
A terrific storm
On a clear sunny day
It comes without warn
I stand aside
And hope quell
The rising tide
Of anger’s swell
To a dear Friend
I follow blood shot eyes
Deep within your soul.
Beneath a decaying brain
Through smokers lungs
Passed a broken heart
And out a poisoned liver.
I took the path you chose,
That of drugs and sin.
But only to view the art
Inside the gallery.
That is Your body’s tragedy.
Whos responsible
You brought on this life
Filled with pain and despair
You brought on this life
When you lied to those who cared
You brought on this life
Of anger and of rage
You brought on this life
You’re the star it’s your stage
