Lifeline

Rope is tangled
Twisted
Into divine
Symbolic
Of the nature
Of angered
Beasts gnashing at
My door step
Trying to bring
Me down to
Their crude nature
And I will
Not let them beat
My soul from
My strong body
Instead I will
Gather them
In my open
Palm, so they
May be crushed
And become
Like threads of a
String coming
Together for
The building
Of a great rope
Filled with
All the things I
Conquered
In my lifetime
So, let this
Rope grow greater
And longer
Till it reaches
The blue sky
Filled with
My Victory

Slashing the cost of living

© 2008 Martin

Tesco’s is such a wonderful store
Everything costs less that’s for sure
Consumers we are as we grab for more
Are we happier as we head out the door?
Why do need all this stuff what’s it for?
Making me drained and emotionally poor
My head it is aching my heart is sore
For meaning I’m yearning from every pore
Paracetamol pills 21 pence never saw them before
Tesco’s is such a wonderful store
21 pence suicide as my body it hits the floor.
