Tainted Saint

I think she’s closer this time…
Oh god I can feel it coming back
She’s inside my skin

Tearing, ripping and bleeding my body dry
No one loves me like she does.

As her fingers trace the contours of my face
My bones crack and crumble, leaving me
unprotected.

Knowledge is pain my angel.
Knowing this is too much
I want no more.

But pain so sweet as yours
It makes my knees bend and
my soul beg for more.

I’m in love with a girl
Or is she the idea?
I’m so lost in symbols
her words spill from my hands
I record blood.

Broken bones and torn muscles
Bloody palms and a kiss from my saint
Suffering never tasted like hell
Your disease is heaven.

Patience

© 2009 GabrielStone

Time spent apart is time spent thinking of you. Silent reflections on time spent together fill my mind, pervading every cell with the words you spoke. Next time I have to leave, hold onto my hand and beg for one more minute. One more minute so that I may be won over by those eyes, one more minute so that I can no longer bear the thought of leaving. Hold me close so that I no longer feel the need to leave, the only urgency remaining my desire to seal your lips with mine. Brightest star that lights my sky, why do those cruel clouds seek to obscure our faces? Perhaps angels see me caress your cheek and burn with jealousy. Maybe mother nature feels scorned when my eyes can see nothing but you, painting her backdrop in meaningless space. Laughter is the only answer for such things, I care not to explain why the center of my universe has shifted, only acknowledge with joy that it has. Patience dearest heart of mine, we will come together once more.
