Acknowledgement
I was amazed this morning.
I forgot how good of a liar I am.
I don’t lie to other people.
I forgot how easily I could deceive myself.
I told myself I didnt love you
And i believed it.
Yes just look the other way, nothing to see here.
The lies we tell ourselves to get by
cant be held up forever.
Eventually they will hit us, crush us for some time
but we shouldnt avoid this.
Face these truths and do what’s necessary to deal.
I avoided my truths hoping they would fade away.
But theses aren’t the illusions we see in darkness as children.
These monsters are real and dont care if u call them fake.
Ill stare down my fears still afraid but with the knowledge that I can overcome.
No more denial.
Here are my fears, here is the truth, here is where I stand.
