say something
I wont lie, I was blinded by your light.
It healed the frostburn that crippled my heart.
Your voice became the whispers in my dreams.
And when I pictured perfection, I saw you.
I know no one is perfect but I found your “shortcoming”
and “failures” amazing.
Maybe I’m blinded cause all I can see is you.
But if such a pretty picture is my last sight
I’ll wander through the darkness with a smile on my face.
Personality that exaggerates every emotion and I could never
do justice with such unpolished words.
So forgive the attempt but you give me the inspiration to attempt
impossible feats.
And the day we meet will be the first day I’ll remember breathing.
Forgive me if I’m too forward but I’ll be in such a rush
thinking about your touch, and every amazing moment that we will share
You will catch my soul streaking, yep running around bare. HAHA!
Im already cracking corny jokes, but that’s just what you do to me.
All I will need you to do when fate decides the time’s here is say something.
P.S.
GOING WITH THE BEAT (when a song comes on that you like just write until it ends)
the song behind this poem
“Say something” remix by Timbaland feat Drake and Lupe Fiasco
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cd8olD7HLg
the poem sounds and feels alot better if you read it and listen to the song at the same time
(in my opnoin)
