Darkness

the darkness falls
my thoughts go cloudy
no-one matters
everything hurts

the voice is sweet
i hear it clearly
it calls for me
i have to go

but i have loved ones
people who need me
no i am not listening
i cannot hear you

through the fog
i hear you again
your voice whispering
sounds so calm

you need me i know
but i am needed here to
i can’t just leave
i have people i love

so for today
i have beaten you
i have not given in
i will stay

for how long
no-one knows
but i will fight you
time after time

I Am Strong

you try and try
you make me cry
i am strong
here i belong

you show me that light
you tease me with fright
i am stong
here i belong

i hear you call
i nearly fall
i am strong
here i belong

the darkness appears
i can’t see through the tears
i am strong
here i belong

i can’t be with you
i won’t cross through
i am strong
here i belong

oh please refrain
let me live again
i am strong
here i belong

i look and smile
i have come a mile
because i am strong
and here i belong
