Today, we return to take a look at pergolas , and although they are referred to as vinyl pergolas, that doesn’t mean, of course, that the entire structures are made of vinyl.
No, the posts are actually made of treated pine, but they are covered in vinyl sheaths to afford protection from the elements.
The one shown, above left, is one of the 2-beam vinyl pergolas , and you can choose to have it free-standing – by your pool, as illustrated, which would look very classy, almost like something out of ancient Greece – or wall-mounted, as shown in the photo that’s below and to the right.
The 2-beam pergolas are available in 25 different sizes, ranging from a compact 8 x 8 feet, all the way up to a generous 16 x 32 feet.
For reference, so you can get a bit of an idea of the relative sizes, the pergola at the top of this page measures 8 x 14 feet, while the wall-mounted one is 10 x 12 feet.
