Shed to trial Saturday openings
Cobar Copper City Men’s Shed will trial Saturday opening sessions in an effort to make the Shed facilities available to more men in the Cobar community.Shed co-ordinator Gordon Hill said the Shed Committee had decided to trial opening the Shed on two Saturday mornings in February in response to a number of requests from men who work a five-day week and are not able to attend the current Tuesday and Friday opening sessions.
“The Saturdays on the 11th and 25th of February will be the two trial dates and the Shed will be open from 8.30am until noon both days,” said Mr Hill, adding there is a good range of tools and equipment available for men attending the Shed to use on both personal and community project basis.
“There is also a good range of donated recycled timber and paint available for use on these projects if men who wish to undertake these projects do not have their own materials,” Mr Hill said.
