A Sky-high selection at Hibachi Grill

Some people really enjoy going to a buffet-style restaurant and piling their plates with all they can eat. I admit to not being one of those people.
Still, I was intrigued to check out the 700-seat Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, Norfolk's largest restaurant. The eatery opened in April in a former CompUSA store near The Gallery at Military Circle, and at about 28,000 square feet it is nearly half the size of a football field.
A salad and dessert bar on a wooden boat? Palm trees? An indoor moat and waterfall? A starry "sky" high above the buffet area? The place sounded like something to see.
The Hibachi Grill is indeed a visual treat. It's also a fun place; watching servers bang a mini-gong and present a boy at a nearby table with a candle-topped dessert made me wish, briefly, that I had been celebrating a birthday as well during a recent visit.
But what about the food?
Well, there certainly is plenty of it. And the price to try as much of it as you want is hard to beat: $7.99 for dinner for adults, less for children and even cheaper for lunch.
