Severe storms threaten Wheatbelt towns after sweeping through Perth

Spectacular storms batter Perth
Overnight a man has reportedly been hit by a tree in Armadale during the early morning storm which brought spectacular lightning displays and strong winds to Perth.
ABC Radio reported the man was walking in Armadale when lightning struck a tree near him causing part of it to fall on him. He has been taken to Armadale Hospital.
It is believed several homes have also been damaged during this morning’s storm and trees have been brought down near Perth Airport's domestic terminal on Brearley Avenue.
FESA spokesman Allen Gale says 14 calls for help were made between 3am and 6am this morning. He says most of the calls for help were for water damage to homes and fallen down trees.
