White Rose Bar & Grill to replace its courtyard with year-round seating area
York's White Rose Bar & Grill has started to demolish its outdoor courtyard along Philadelphia Street in favor of a space that customers may use year-round. "Customers love to have the feel of sitting outside and now they'll be able to have that year-round," said Jeremiah Anderson, general manager and partner of the restaurantDemolition is expected to last one week and will remove the concrete railings and pergola that currently enclose the courtyard, he said.During renovations, expected to be completed by St. Patrick's Day, the restaurant will install a glass retractable roof and side wall allowing the area to be used during all year, regardless of the weather, Anderson said.
"If it's rain or windy, we'll still be able to use this space," he said.
The space will also be elevated to make it level with the eatery's adjacent garage bar area.
